Orthodontic treatments in Vienna for every smile
Trying to decide which type of braces are right for you can be a daunting task. Dr. Ghaffari will help you determine what modern treatment best fits your smile and lifestyle.
Metal braces
Today’s braces are a distant relative of the clunky tin grins of the past. Modern braces are smaller and more comfortable than ever, with low profiles and comfortable edges.
Dr. Ghaffari only uses the highest quality brackets from 3M/Unitek that are smaller and smoother to provide the ultimate comfort.
Straighten your smile
Expert orthodontist Dr. Ghaffari pairs cutting-edge technology with the skill of moving teeth. This allows Ghaffari Orthodontics to successfully treat many dental issues.
Metal braces are Vienna’s most common type of orthodontic treatment, but you have other options, too. At Ghaffari Orthodontics, you can choose from metal braces, clear braces, and Invisalign to straighten your teeth.
During your first free consultation exam, Dr. Ghaffari will talk to you about which treatment would be the best fit for you based on your unique needs and smile goals.
Dental issues we treat:
What is indirect bonding?
Traditionally, orthodontists place braces by directly gluing them to the teeth, one at a time. Most orthodontists practice this tedious process, and sometimes it’s necessary.
This can be uncomfortable for you, as you may have your mouth open for up to two hours. Dr. Ghaffari uses a technique to place braces known as indirect bonding for nearly all his patients.
Rather than placing brackets directly in your mouth, Dr. Ghaffari mounts them on a treatment model in the precise location. We fabricate a special tray to transfer the brackets to your teeth in the exact precise location.
This process improves bracket placement accuracy because the bracket alignment can be viewed from several angles. The same visualization is not possible to work directly in the mouth.
Indirect bonding has been an exciting advancement in orthodontics over the last few years. It greatly benefits the patient as it improves patient comfort, reduces the amount of time in the dental chair, improves the accuracy of bracket placement, and reduces overall treatment time.
Fewer than 10% of orthodontists routinely practice indirect bonding despite these advantages because it requires several technically precise laboratory procedures.
To ensure accurate bracket placement and reduce treatment time, at Ghaffari Orthodontics, our office employs a 100% indirect bonding technique when possible.
