Vienna orthodontics

1. Your Initial Consultation

This is a free session with you, your child (if applicable), and Dr. Ghaffari to consult and determine if there is a need for orthodontics. If it is determined that orthodontic treatment is needed, Dr. Ghaffari will discuss treatment options and answer any questions.

2. Records Appointment

During your records appointment, Dr. Ghaffari and his team will take a 3D scan of your mouth, pictures of your teeth, and X-rays of your teeth and jaw. We use an iTero scanner, so no more goopy impression material!

Dr. Ghaffari utilizes his knowledge of orthodontics, engineering, and expertise to develop a customized treatment plan for each patient that addresses their particular case.

3. Placement of Your Orthodontic Appliance

This is the appointment where active orthodontic treatment is typically started. Dr. Ghaffari implements what is called “indirect bonding,” which only requires about 10 minutes for the placement of braces!

The rest of this appointment time is utilized to clean the surfaces of the teeth that will have braces attached to them, educate the patient on brushing and flossing with braces, and the placement of orthodontic wires.

Zoom Conference

There may be a virtual meeting before you start treatment, or Dr. Ghaffari will talk to you in person if you prefer.

Dr. Ghaffari will discuss the appropriate orthodontic treatment for you or your child. He will refer to the Itero scan, pictures, and X-rays to provide a visual case for you, discuss what to expect, and estimate how long treatment will take.
